Her birthplace was Roswell on the 29th of March 1985. Gerina Michel Mendoza is her birthname. Gerina Stevenson was born in Mexico as the daughter of Mexican parents Alan Stevenson and Rita Stevenson. Her heritage is Mexican American however she has an American citizenship. Her passion for sports was born as a kid. Gerina took up golf when she was just the age of 15. Gerina went to Goddard High School. While she was in high school, she won at the New Mexico state golf tournament. As well as the sport of volleyball, she played on a state-level. The first time she attended at the University of Texas. She was the only winner of all events she took part in throughout her senior year. During the undergraduate year, she received as the conference's best player of year as well as UTEP Female Athletic of Year.
