The university offered her master's degree in theatre as well as a double major in social and psychology. Contractor landed her first role in the midst of her university year. Her work was highly acclaimed in the 92 plays she appeared in. The play won her the award in 2002 for the Best Production of the Year, as judged by Canadian critics. She was offered the opportunity to be a part of the Stratford Conservatory, which accepts only eight men and four women to take a course in the art of classical theater. Contractor was ecstatically accepted. Contractor got a place in the following season of plays and landed the role of Hermia in A Midsummer Night's Dream.
